Thoughts on Priesthood:

A priest is a man consecrated to God and acts as a link between God and his people. For me, a priest is a shepherd who leads the people entrusted to him.

Why I Want to Be a Priest:

I want to be a priest because I want to offer my life to God and the Church in order to be a minister and shepherd for those who are seekin God.

How did your family and friends react when you made that decision? Are they supportive now?

They were happy though very surprised. Now they are supportive and encourage me.

What is the hardest part of being in the seminary?

I think the written papers in English are always a challenge to me even though I am learning something new everyday.

What is the best part?

The knowledge that I receive from professors and seminarians about God’s life and the way God incarnates himself in each particular culture is a true blessing. I also love the experience of growing into particular skills that are needed to perform the sacraments and other rites of the Church.

Who/what influenced your decision to enter the seminary?

My desire to serve God in a society that welcomes people of every kind of race and nation was part of it. I also wanted to help evangelizing people form other backgrounds. I wanted to be a shepherd to them.

Listening to music and jogging

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the priesthood?

Be courageous in discerning seriously and take the risk. We have only one life to live and it is better to live it with intensity.
