Thoughts on Priesthood:

Holy, faithful, and obedient is the type of priest I want to be. This is my 5th year in the seminary and I have met priests that I would never want to emulate and in a sense they have given me a better idea of what a good priest is.

Why I Want to Be a Priest:

I want to be a priest because I was called by God. At this point I know, despite how much I would like to be married, God will not let me be as happy as I can be here on earth doing anything else.

How did your family and friends react when you made that decision? Are they supportive now?

They were happy and supportive.

What is the hardest part of being in the seminary?

It really depends on the seminarian. I can say that for me it is coming to terms with what is asked of us as celibates.

What is the best part?

The best part is the brotherhood that we form among us seminarians.

Who/what influenced your decision to enter the seminary?

A priest named Fr. Duprey. He was holy, faithful, and obedient. His example of a life of sacrifice was clear and attractive.

Hobbies & Interests:

Cycling and movies

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the priesthood?

Pray for courage. If there is not anything that is an impediment, go for it.
